A badger is an interesting creature that children will want to build a den and gather ‘food’ for.

Fun Facts:

When digging the tunnels and nests, badgers create large mound of unwanted earth just outside their entries. By placing entrances on slopes, they can push the excess dirt downhill quickly, easily and far away from the opening. They even dig small hollows to use s latrines!

As well as finding out all about badger sets and living habits, children will need to practice their fine motor control to pick them and their den materials up.
